E5 Systems' methodology ensures high quality and can be tailored for flexibility. Our institutionalized quality practice operates at CMM standards and is a rigorous part of each employee's year round curriculum.

E5 Systems treats our system as "a" methodology not "the" methodology, and our flexibility distinguishes us from the outsourcing competition. Core to our approach is a mindset that focuses on achieving results in the most appropriate and efficient manner while providing adaptability for our client's processes.

Delivery Model

E5 Systems delivery methodology is based on a modified RUP tailored to operate at CMM standards and further developed for the China delivery center. Agile implementations are easily leveraged in this hybrid model.

E5 Systems ensures delivery of large projects by subdividing the deliverables into aggressively delivered components. Exhaustive requirements discovery and definition, as the primary phase, set the big picture for the solutions design. This makes it viable to have progressive releases. The benefits of progressive releases are:

  • Lower pressure on client's team to verify and validate
  • Easier production implementation and final end user acceptance
  • Testing and simulation are more focused
  • Applications can be used before the business terrain changes

Communication Model:

E5 Systems uses a consensus driven approach to ensure that all stake holders are closely linked to the business needs and technical aspects of the engagement.

In a typical off-shore development environment, successful communication is key. To overcome the challenge of building a team across distance and differing cultures, E5 Systems utilizes thoroughly trained and highly skilled English speaking Business Analysts to facilitate communications. These individuals have horizontal knowledge across Process, Requirements Management, Technology and Quality Assurance.

After being hired by E5, each member is intensely trained through the E5 Systems graduate training program, termed "Jedi Training," and are productive from day one. They provide the cohesive element to align communications amongst all members of the team.

CookBook:

One of the biggest challenges for any mature delivery organization is to form its methodology from a myriad of definitions, process steps, and artifacts to a tangible and legible presentation. E5 Systems has developed a concise Methodology Reference Guide that is about the size of a cookbook. It provides a quick reference of the phases and key process steps for each role in the SDLC as well as a quick insight for our clients to visualize the key benefits that our methodology offers. Moreover, it also contains location shortcuts for related artifacts and training material found in our Knowledge Management repository.
